“This morning, I had the opportunity to meet with leaders from the DCP in Kikuyu constituency.
I accepted their invitation to hold a public rally in Kikuyu township on Saturday, 11th April 2026, at 1:00 PM,” Gachagua confirmed.
The DCP leader indicated that the rally is expected to bring together supporters and leaders aligned to his political movement, as efforts to consolidate support continue.
He added that the event will provide a platform to engage the public on key issues affecting the region and the country at large.
Gachagua further revealed that principals of the United Alternative Government are expected to attend and participate in the rally.
Their presence is likely to underscore ongoing efforts to build a broader political alliance and strengthen coordination among like-minded leaders.
The announcement comes amid heightened political activity across the country, with leaders increasingly turning to public rallies to connect with supporters and communicate their agendas.
Kikuyu township, located in Kiambu County, has in recent years been a focal point for political mobilisation due to its strategic importance in national politics.
Observers note that such gatherings often serve as a barometer of political influence and grassroots support, particularly as leaders position themselves ahead of future political contests.
The planned rally is therefore expected to draw significant attention from both supporters and political rivals.
While details of the agenda for the rally were not immediately outlined, it is anticipated that key political and economic issues will feature prominently in the discussions.
Gachagua and his allies are expected to use the platform to articulate their vision and rally support for their cause.
Local leaders who attended the meeting with Gachagua expressed support for the planned event, saying it would provide an opportunity for residents to interact directly with national figures and air their concerns.
They also emphasised the importance of inclusive engagement in shaping the country’s political direction.
