Faith Odhiambo, the President of the Law Society of Kenya, has expressed her respect for leaders who are bold enough to defend justice and speak openly on national matters.

She particularly praised Edwin Sifuna for his strong voice and dedication to issues affecting Kenyans.

Speaking during a recent public engagement, Odhiambo said she appreciates leaders who are not afraid to stand for what is right, even when facing criticism or political pressure.

She noted that Kenya needs more leaders who are ready to protect the rule of law and ensure that citizens’ rights are respected at all times.

According to Odhiambo, leadership is not just about holding a position but about showing courage and commitment to the people.

She explained that individuals like Sifuna have demonstrated the importance of speaking openly on matters of governance, accountability, and justice.

She said such leaders help to remind the country that democracy works best when leaders remain honest and transparent.

Odhiambo pointed out that Kenya has gone through many political and social challenges, and during such moments, strong voices are necessary.

She emphasized that defending justice is not always easy because it sometimes puts leaders in difficult positions.

However, she insisted that true leadership requires the willingness to stand firm despite criticism or opposition.

She also highlighted the important role that young leaders and professionals play in shaping the future of the country.

Odhiambo encouraged young Kenyans to learn from leaders who are guided by principles and not personal interests.

She said the country’s progress depends on citizens who are ready to demand accountability and support leaders who work with integrity.

The LSK President added that the legal profession has a major responsibility in safeguarding justice.

She said lawyers and legal institutions must continue to defend the Constitution and protect citizens from abuse of power.

Odhiambo explained that when leaders and professionals work together, it becomes easier to build a fair and just society.

She further noted that the courage shown by outspoken leaders inspires many Kenyans, especially the youth.

Odhiambo said seeing leaders speak strongly about national issues gives hope to citizens who sometimes feel ignored or unheard.

She added that such leadership helps to create public confidence in institutions and strengthens democracy.

Odhiambo also called for unity among leaders across political and professional lines. She said Kenya can only move forward when leaders focus on solving problems instead of creating divisions.

She encouraged leaders to engage in constructive dialogue and work towards solutions that benefit all citizens.
