Edwin Sifuna found himself at the center of attention after his faction pulled a huge crowd at a rally that many had earlier tried to block.

The Nairobi Senator did not hold back his emotions as he addressed supporters who had turned up in large numbers, despite claims that they would not be allowed to access the venue.

Standing before the cheering crowd, Sifuna posed a bold question: “Hapa ni wapi! Na nyinyi ni kina nani!” His words were met with loud chants from supporters who filled the grounds.

The phrase, loosely translated as “Where is this place! And who are you!” was a direct response to those who had allegedly tried to intimidate his team.

He went on to describe how they had been warned not to step into the area. According to him, there were threats and attempts to scare them away.

“Walisema ati hatutaingia hapa, wametutisha mpaka wametuandama kama wanyama,” he said, expressing frustration over what he termed as harassment and unnecessary hostility.

Despite the challenges, Sifuna and his allies proceeded with the event. The large turnout appeared to send a clear message that his faction still commands significant grassroots support.

Supporters waved party colours and chanted slogans, creating an atmosphere that felt more like a celebration than a confrontation.

Political observers noted that the rally was not just about numbers but also about symbolism.

For Sifuna, walking into a place where he had allegedly been warned against stepping foot was meant to demonstrate confidence and defiance.

It showed that he was not ready to back down in the face of political pressure.

Addressing the crowd further, Sifuna emphasized the importance of standing firm in leadership.

He told his supporters that politics should not be about intimidation or threats but about engaging the public openly.

He said leaders must be ready to face the people and listen to their concerns instead of trying to silence opponents.

The event also highlighted growing tensions within political circles, as different factions continue to flex their muscles ahead of future contests.

Sifuna’s remarks suggested that internal battles are far from over. However, he insisted that his focus remains on serving wananchi and strengthening his political base.
