Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku has praised Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, saying he has performed beyond what many Kenyans expected when he took office.

Ruku described Kindiki as a hardworking and focused leader who deserves to continue serving as Deputy President even after the 2027 General Election.

Speaking during a public event, Ruku said Kindiki has shown strong leadership, especially at a time when the country has been facing economic and social challenges.

According to the CS, many people were unsure about what Kindiki would deliver when he assumed the role, but he has since proved his critics wrong through commitment and action.

Ruku noted that Kindiki has remained loyal to President William Ruto and has supported government programs without seeking personal attention.

He said the Deputy President has been at the forefront of pushing key projects meant to improve the lives of ordinary citizens.

These include initiatives aimed at boosting agriculture, improving security, and supporting small businesses.

The Cabinet Secretary added that Kindiki has demonstrated calmness and maturity in handling national matters.

He said the Deputy President has avoided unnecessary political drama and instead focused on delivering results.

According to Ruku, this kind of steady leadership is what Kenya needs as it moves towards the next election cycle.

Ruku further argued that leadership should be judged based on performance and not political noise.

He urged leaders and citizens alike to support individuals who have shown the ability to serve diligently.

In his view, Kindiki has earned the trust of the President and many Kenyans through his work ethic and dedication.

He also dismissed claims from critics who question whether Kindiki should remain in the position beyond 2027.

Ruku maintained that the Deputy President has built a strong foundation that should not be interrupted.

He said continuity in leadership would help the government complete its development agenda.
