Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has accused individuals within the government of attempting to infiltrate and undermine the Niko Kadi movement by falsely associating themselves with it.

Speaking during a public address, Nyoro claimed that some government officials are deliberately trying to link themselves to the movement with the intention of weakening its credibility and disrupting its activities.

“The people in government are trying to associate themselves with the Niko Kadi movement so that they sabotage it,” Nyoro said.

He warned supporters of the movement to remain vigilant and not allow what he described as political interference to derail its objectives.

According to the legislator, the movement was formed to address key issues affecting ordinary citizens and should not be hijacked for political gain.

Nyoro did not name specific individuals but insisted that there are clear attempts to confuse the public about the movement’s leadership and direction.

He said such actions risk misleading supporters and undermining the trust that has been built among its followers.

The MP emphasised that the Niko Kadi movement is independent and driven by the needs and voices of wananchi.

He urged those behind the alleged scheme to keep off, saying their involvement would only harm the cause.

He further called on the public to be cautious about leaders who suddenly claim affiliation with the movement, urging them to verify information before accepting such claims.

Nyoro also noted that the movement has continued to gain traction across different parts of the country, attracting support from various groups who identify with its message.

He expressed confidence that attempts to sabotage it would not succeed if supporters remain focused and united.

At the same time, he reiterated the need for transparency and accountability in leadership, saying the movement’s success depends on maintaining integrity and staying true to its founding principles.

The remarks come amid increasing political activity and the emergence of grassroots movements seeking to influence public discourse.

Observers say such movements have become a significant force, often drawing attention from established political players.

Nyoro’s statement is likely to spark debate over the role of government officials in independent movements and whether such involvement helps or hinders their growth.
