President William Ruto has called on all political leaders and Kenyans to work together in building a broad-based government that reflects the country’s diversity and promotes national unity.

Speaking recently, he emphasized the need for dialogue between his Kenya Kwanza coalition and the opposition party Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) as part of efforts to form a government in 2027 that includes all citizens.

According to President Ruto, a government that truly represents all Kenyans must rise above divisions and focus on uniting the country.

“If we unite all Kenyans, we can form a government that will transform our nation, remove discrimination, end tribalism, and make Kenya one nation,” he said.

The president highlighted that inclusivity is central to his vision for the country.

He argued that political and social divisions have held Kenya back for years, creating inequalities and leaving some communities feeling marginalized.

By fostering dialogue and cooperation among different political groups, Ruto believes it is possible to address these issues and ensure that every Kenyan has a stake in the country’s future.

He also underscored that a united government would work to dismantle long-standing barriers based on ethnicity, regionalism, and political affiliation.

Ending tribalism, according to the president, is essential for creating fairness in public service, promoting national cohesion, and ensuring that all communities have equal opportunities to participate in development projects.

President Ruto stressed that the government he envisions is not about adopting foreign standards superficially, but about addressing Kenya’s unique challenges and priorities.

“We will not work simply to take Kenya to first-world standards.

Our focus is on making Kenya strong, united, and just, ensuring all citizens are treated equally and benefit from government programs,” he said.

He encouraged leaders across the political spectrum to engage in constructive talks and set aside personal or party interests for the greater good of the nation.

The president described dialogue as a necessary tool to bridge differences, build trust, and create a government that truly represents the aspirations of all Kenyans.

Analysts say President Ruto’s message comes at a critical time as the country looks toward the 2027 general elections.

His emphasis on inclusivity and unity seeks to reassure citizens and political allies that leadership decisions will prioritize national interests over narrow political gains.

Ruto also called on ordinary Kenyans to participate actively in promoting peace and cohesion, highlighting that national unity requires the commitment of all citizens, not just political leaders.

He encouraged communities to embrace dialogue and understanding, emphasizing that a united Kenya would be better positioned to overcome challenges such as inequality, unemployment, and corruption.
