Activist and journalist Hanifa Adan has secured a new role as a host of The Generation Report, a weekly segment on Radio Generation that airs every Monday from 7 pm to 10 pm.

She will co-host the programme alongside Triciah Wayua, where they will present news roundups and analysis.

The show is expected to draw on Hanifa’s experience in youth activism and political reporting, offering listeners a blend of perspectives on current events.

“Some personal news. I’ve joined Radio Generation as a host for the 7 to 10pm segment every Monday.

Join us on The Generation Report as we bring you fresh, unbiased news,” Hanifa said.

The Generation Report focuses on commentary around current affairs and politics, providing audiences with insights into key developments both within Kenya and internationally.

The segment aims to break down major headlines and offer context to help listeners better understand the stories shaping public discourse.

Hanifa’s move into radio hosting marks an expansion of her work in media, where she has been active in both activism and journalism.

Her involvement is expected to contribute to discussions on issues affecting young people, governance and civic engagement, areas she has previously been vocal about.

The programme will feature discussions on a range of topics, including politics, social issues and developments in governance, with an emphasis on balanced reporting and informed analysis.

By combining news summaries with expert viewpoints, the show seeks to engage a wide audience interested in staying updated on both local and global affairs.

Triciah Wayua, who will be co-hosting the segment, brings additional experience to the programme, and together the two are expected to guide conversations that are informative and accessible to listeners.

Radio Generation’s weekly segment is part of the station’s broader programming aimed at delivering timely news content and engaging discussions.

The station has positioned itself as a platform for contemporary issues, with content tailored to a diverse and youthful audience.

Hanifa’s appointment comes at a time when media platforms continue to evolve, with increasing emphasis on interactive and analysis-driven programming.

Her role will involve not only presenting news but also engaging with narratives that resonate with listeners and encourage critical thinking.
