The Orange Democratic Movement has accused Siaya Governor James Orengo of shifting a pro bono legal arrangement in the Political Parties Fund case into a paid engagement, further claiming that Sh40 million was later paid in legal fees.

The party alleges that what was initially presented as voluntary legal support eventually became a formal paid arrangement, leading to substantial payments as efforts to trace her whereabouts intensified.

Her body was later discovered dumped by the roadside near St Patrick in the Mkoroshoni area. Authorities confirmed that the discovery brought a tragic end to the search for the young girl.

Reports indicate that she had sustained injuries, including broken hands, at the time her body was found. However, the full circumstances surrounding her death have not yet been established.

Police have launched investigations into the incident to determine what led to her death and to identify those responsible.
