Ruku spoke on Saturday during a public event held alongside a wedding ceremony attended by political leaders and residents in Kiambu.
During his address, the Cabinet Secretary encouraged people from the Mt Kenya region to stay united in supporting the government.
He dismissed opposition criticism, saying it was meant to create confusion among wananchi rather than offer real solutions.
According to Ruku, leaders who previously served in government but failed to deliver on their promises should not be allowed to mislead citizens.
He argued that such politicians are now trying to gain support by criticizing the current administration instead of taking responsibility for their past performance.
Ruku strongly defended the work of the Kenya Kwanza administration, saying the government remains focused on improving the lives of ordinary citizens.
He explained that the leadership under President William Ruto is committed to transforming the country through development projects and improved public services.
The Cabinet Secretary highlighted several areas where the government is working to bring change, including job creation, strengthening public service delivery, and supporting economic growth.
He said the administration is determined to ensure that development reaches every part of the country without discrimination.
Ruku also assured residents that the government has long-term plans to uplift communities through infrastructure projects, improved healthcare services, and education programs.
He said such initiatives are meant to create better opportunities for young people and improve living standards across the nation.
While addressing political matters, Ruku urged residents not to allow political differences to divide communities.
He said unity among citizens is important for development and warned that political conflicts often slow down progress.
According to him, leaders should focus on serving wananchi instead of engaging in personal political battles.
The Cabinet Secretary further declared his loyalty to the current administration, saying he will continue to support the Kenya Kwanza government until 2032.
He said the government still has many plans that need time to be fully implemented and promised that leaders within the administration will remain committed to fulfilling their development agenda.
Ruku encouraged citizens to judge leaders based on their performance and achievements rather than political statements.
He said wananchi should focus on leaders who bring real change to their communities through development projects and economic opportunities.
Political observers say Ruku’s remarks reflect growing political competition as leaders prepare for future elections.
His strong defense of the government also signals continued efforts by Kenya Kwanza leaders to maintain support in the Mt Kenya region, which remains politically significant.
