According to him, his actions have always been driven by his desire to make the party stronger and more popular among Kenyans.
“Everything I have been has only one purpose: to popularise and strengthen ODM,” Salah said. He added that his dedication to the party has never been about personal gain but about contributing to the movement he deeply respects and supports.
Salah also took the opportunity to address Governor Wanga directly, acknowledging that some of his recent actions or remarks may have caused misunderstanding or hurt feelings.
He expressed regret and made it clear that he never intended to disrespect or undermine her leadership within the party.
“I believe deeply in this party, in its history, and in what it stands for. If, in that process, I have hurt you, Chairlady Wanga, I sincerely apologise. That was never my intention,” he said.
The apology comes at a time when ODM has been working to maintain unity among its leaders and supporters.
Political observers note that public disagreements within parties can sometimes weaken their image, especially when they involve senior leaders or individuals closely linked to the party.
Salah’s apology is seen by some as a step towards reducing tension and promoting dialogue within ODM.
Supporters of the party have expressed mixed reactions to Salah’s statement. While some have welcomed his apology and praised him for showing respect to party leadership, others have called for stronger unity among ODM members moving forward.
Many believe that open communication and respect for party structures are important for maintaining trust and stability.
Salah, however, maintained that his loyalty to ODM remains firm. He said he still believes in the party’s mission and hopes to continue supporting its growth in positive and constructive ways.
He also encouraged party members to remain united and focus on the bigger goal of serving Kenyans.
