Principal Secretary Julius Bitok has announced the rollout of digital learning tools across the country, confirming that 25,000 laptops and smartboards are being deployed in primary schools nationwide.

Speaking on the initiative, Bitok said the government is scaling up its efforts to integrate technology into basic education as part of ongoing reforms the passing of his mother, noting the heavy grief he is experiencing during this difficult period.

“I am devastated and heartbroken! It’s well with my soul, however it is difficult to believe that my mother has rested. It’s painful,” he said.

The legislator’s message reflected a mix of grief and acceptance, as he tried to express both his emotional pain and his faith in the face of loss.

He acknowledged that while he is deeply affected by the passing, he is drawing strength from his personal beliefs.
