Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Hussein Mohammed has reaffirmed his commitment to rule-based leadership, saying his administration will strictly adhere to due process in all its decisions and operations.

Speaking on his leadership approach, Hussein emphasized that from the outset he has maintained a clear stance on governance, underscoring the importance of law, structure, and accountability within the federation.

“I was very clear from the beginning that I am a strict follower of rules and law,” he said.

He noted that his role as FKF President comes with a responsibility not only to the football body but also to the broader national interest.

According to him, maintaining order and transparency within the federation is key to restoring confidence in Kenyan football administration.

“As the President of FKF, I want to give Kenyans the assurance that we will always follow due process and that we will always do what is right, not only for the federation but for this country,” he stated.

Hussein’s remarks come at a time when governance and accountability within sports federations have increasingly come under public scrutiny.

Stakeholders in Kenyan football have in recent years raised concerns over management practices, leadership disputes, and compliance with constitutional procedures.

In his statement, the FKF boss sought to reassure fans, players, and other stakeholders that his leadership will prioritize transparency and adherence to established rules. He emphasized that decisions under his administration will be guided by fairness and institutional integrity.

His comments also reflect a broader push within sports administration to strengthen governance structures and align local federations with international standards.

Observers note that adherence to due process is central to maintaining credibility and ensuring stability within football institutions.

By reiterating his commitment to the law, Hussein positioned his leadership as one anchored in discipline and accountability, signaling an effort to rebuild trust in FKF’s operations.

The FKF President’s remarks are expected to resonate with stakeholders who have long called for reforms aimed at improving transparency and professionalism in football management.

His emphasis on doing what is right, he suggested, extends beyond internal administration to the national interest of Kenyan sport.

As football governance continues to evolve, Hussein’s statement underscores a clear message of intent: that FKF under his leadership will prioritize structured decision-making, respect for rules, and responsible stewardship of the game.
