Despite previously insisting that he was the best candidate to defeat President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election, he noted that Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka could be the best Opposition coalition’s presidential candidate in the 2027 elections.
Gachagua, who had appeared to slightly change his stance when he visited the Ukambani region yesterday during a five-day tour by the Opposition coalition.
The former deputy president noted that the Ukambani political leader possesses all the qualities needed to be Kenya’s president.
“The Kamba community will be the one to rescue Kenya from the current administration because your votes are among the most dependable and consistent in the country. Kamba votes are votes you can trust,” Gachagua said in Tawa town, Makueni County.
He added that the visit to the region long considered an opposition stronghold was motivated by the realization that President Ruto still enjoys popularity there.
