Former Cabinet Secretary (CS) who was in charge of the Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) during the Jubilee administration has stirred up controversy, after disclosing to the public key directive by President William Ruto that he would have scrapped off, if he had the chance to serve as the country's top in command.

Speaking during a public engagement, Fred Matiangi who has seemingly upped his quest for Presidency in 2027 publicly declared that had he been given the chance to serve in the capacity of the President, he would immediately abolish the allocation of large acres of land to the Maasai people, done by William Ruto in May.
