ODM Party Leader Oburu Odinga responded after being asked why ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna skipped ODM Central Management Committee Meeting in Vipingo.
Addressing the press after the meeting, Oburu was met with a question from a journalist who begged to know why some key ODM officials such as Edwin Sifuna and Deputy Party Leader Godfrey Osotsi were conspicuously missing and whether they had notified them that they wouldn't make to attend the meeting.
Responding to the question, Oburu explained that the two leaders had sent their apologies and revealed why they skipped the crucial meeting held at Vipingo, Kilifi.
According to Oburu, Sifuna skipped the meeting as he missed his flight to Coast region where the meeting was being held.
"Hon Sifuna also sent his apologies for this meeting. He missed his flight. So both of them (Sifuna and Osotsi) have the permission of the committee to be absent." Oburu said.
Oburu also revealed that ODM Deputy Party Leader Godfrey Osotsi is currently in South Africa and had tried to travel to attend the meeting but was unable to.
Oburu explained this during a press conference in Vipingo after chairing ODM Central Committee Meeting.
