Using simple but firm words, Sifuna said, “Sit. Talk. Tumeanza,” meaning the leaders have begun meeting, talking, and working together to find solutions.
The meeting brought together a wide range of prominent ODM figures, reflecting the party’s commitment to inclusive dialogue.
Among those present were Siaya Governor James Orengo, Turkana South MP Hon Namoit, Senator Catherine Mumma, David Asige, Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo, Ruth Odinga, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Peter Imwatok, and Hon Reuben Ndolo.
Veteran leaders such as Hon Amos Wako, Edwin Ngonga, and John Andiwo were also in attendance.
Sifuna’s announcement highlighted the importance of open discussion in resolving disagreements and strengthening party cohesion.
He noted that ODM has faced internal tensions in recent months, and bringing leaders together to sit and talk is a necessary step to prevent misunderstandings from escalating.
