Rena Solomon, the wife of film director and digital content creator Richard Kamau, popularly known as Director Ritchie, has finally spoken about how they found their way back to each other after a breakup that had left many of their followers talking.

During an interview on Monday night, March 2, 2026, with Oga Obinna, Rena shared the emotional story behind their reunion. 

For the first time, she gave details of who made the first move and how everything unfolded.

According to Rena, it was Ritchie who reached out to her after they had gone their separate ways. She explained that during their time apart, she had chosen to hold on to faith.

Rena said deep down, she always believed there was still room for restoration in their marriage. Even when things seemed uncertain, she kept hoping for a second chance.

So when Ritchie finally contacted her, she felt that her prayers had been answered.

“He was the one who reached out,” Rena said during the interview. “Since people were telling me to keep praying, I always felt like there was room for restoration and God’s miracle.

So when he reached out, I believed the prayers were answered.”

She described the moment as both surprising and emotional. After spending time apart, she did not expect the message to come when it did.

The way Ritchie approached her made the whole situation feel almost unreal.

Rena admitted that at first, she thought it might have been a joke. The message came in a way that caught her completely off guard. Everything happened so quickly that she needed time to process what was being said.

“He reached out in such a funny way,” she explained. “It happened so fast. At first I thought it was a joke. It took me a while to believe what he was saying.”

Despite the surprise, Rena said she was open to listening. She explained that healing and forgiveness are not easy, but she was willing to have a conversation and see where it would lead.
