Residents of Kawaida in Kiambaa uncovered a suspected child trafficking ring operating from an apartment in Cianda Ward, leading to the arrest of two foreign nationals in a dramatic incident that sparked public outrage.

According to reports, the discovery was made after concerned residents raised an alarm over suspicious activities at the residential unit, prompting a swift response that led to the arrest of the two suspects.

The operation, however, quickly turned tense as angry locals gathered at the scene, demanding immediate action and expressing outrage over the alleged criminal activity.

The crowd attempted to attack the suspects before police intervened to restore order.

Security officers managed to rescue the two foreigners from the irate mob and took them into custody for their safety as well as for further investigation.

Police said the suspects are being held as investigations continue into allegations of child trafficking, with authorities working to establish the extent of the reported network and whether other individuals may be involved.

The incident drew large crowds to the area, with residents expressing shock and anger over the alleged exploitation of children within their community.

Some locals said they had grown suspicious over time due to unusual movements at the apartment, which eventually led to the exposure of the alleged operation.

Law enforcement officers cordoned off the area and conducted preliminary investigations as they sought to secure evidence and ensure the safety of both suspects and residents.

Authorities have since urged members of the public to remain calm and allow security agencies to handle the matter through established legal channels.

Police also warned against taking the law into one’s own hands, noting that mob justice could interfere with investigations and endanger lives, even in emotionally charged cases.

The suspects are expected to be processed further as detectives continue gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses linked to the incident.
