Residents of Sunton Estate in Kasarani, Nairobi, are demanding justice following the death of a househelp in a disturbing case that investigators believe may be linked to a suspected love triangle within a family home.

The incident, which has shocked the local community, is reported to have stemmed from an alleged affair between a married man and the family’s househelp.

According to preliminary reports, the woman had been employed by the couple before tensions allegedly began to build inside the household after the wife reportedly discovered the relationship.

Authorities are now investigating the circumstances that led to the woman’s death after her body was allegedly found inside the house with visible injuries believed to have resulted from physical assault.

Police sources indicate that detectives are treating the matter as a serious criminal investigation, although official details surrounding the exact cause of death have not yet been released publicly.

The case has drawn even greater concern after reports emerged that the couple’s five-year-old child may have witnessed part of the incident.

The child is currently under police protection at Sunton Police Station as officers continue with investigations.

Residents who spoke after the incident described the developments as deeply disturbing and called on authorities to ensure all those involved are held accountable.

“It is painful to imagine what the child may have gone through,” one resident said. “The truth must come out, and justice must be served for the woman who lost her life.”

Investigators are also searching for two individuals believed to be central to the case.

Reports indicate that a woman identified as Julian Mwangi and her boyfriend cannot currently be traced, prompting an intensified manhunt by detectives.

Police have not yet confirmed the extent of each suspect’s involvement, but authorities say several statements have already been recorded from neighbours and other individuals connected to the household.

The tragic incident has reignited public debate around domestic conflicts, workplace relationships within homes and the safety of domestic workers.

Human rights advocates have also urged investigators to handle the matter thoroughly while ensuring the welfare of the child involved remains protected.

Community leaders in Kasarani have appealed for calm as investigations continue, warning residents against spreading unverified information that could interfere with the inquiry.
