Former Lugari MP Cyrus Shakhalaga Khwa Jirongo has been remembered as a larger-than-life figure during emotional eulogies delivered by his three wives.

Speaking at his memorial, they highlighted his commitment to family, his bold personality, and the deep influence he had on those around him.

According to his wives, Jirongo’s life was not only marked by his public achievements but also by the love, guidance, and support he gave to his family.

They described him as a man who cared deeply about the people closest to him, making everyone feel valued and respected.

His personal touch and attention to those around him, they said, left a lasting impression that will continue to inspire.

Jirongo died on December 13, at the age of 64, in a tragic accident along the Nakuru–Nairobi Highway.

His private vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with a passenger bus ferrying people from Nairobi at Karai area.

The accident shocked family, friends, and the wider community who knew him both as a politician and a family man.

During the service, his wives shared stories that revealed a side of Jirongo not always visible to the public.

They spoke of his unwavering support for his loved ones, his dedication to providing guidance, and his ability to make those around him feel important and cherished.

His care extended beyond his immediate family, touching friends, staff, and even casual acquaintances.
