Man Killed in Ngong Neighbour Dispute as Police Probe Rising Violence

Police in Kajiado County have launched investigations into the death of a 32-year-old man who lost his life following a violent confrontation with a neighbour in Ngong Town. 

The incident occurred in the Gichagi area and has left residents shocked and worried about growing cases of violence in their community.

The victim, identified as Boniface Onyango, was reportedly involved in a disagreement with a neighbour that quickly turned physical. 

During the altercation, Onyango was stabbed several times. Police said he suffered serious injuries to his abdomen and back.

After the attack, residents rushed to help him and he was taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care. 

Despite efforts by doctors, Onyango succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The exact cause of the dispute remains unclear. Investigators say they are still working to establish what led to the confrontation and why it escalated into deadly violence. 

Officers have begun questioning witnesses and gathering statements from people who were at or near the scene.. In the aftermath of the stabbing, emotions ran high among members of the public. 

Reports indicate that some residents turned on the suspected attacker and assaulted him. Police officers intervened to stop the situation from getting out of hand. 

The suspect was rescued and taken to hospital under tight security, where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.

Authorities have urged the public to remain calm and allow the law to take its course. 

They warned against mob justice, saying it only worsens situations and can lead to more loss of life.

Boniface Onyango’s body has been moved to the mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to confirm the cause of death. 

Police say further investigations are ongoing, and appropriate action will be taken once inquiries are complete.
