Dr Oburu Odinga Meets Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o to Discuss Party Growth and Upcoming Engagements

Party leader Dr Oburu Odinga on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on Kisumu Governor and the party’s Secretary-General emeritus, Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o, at his office in Kisumu City. 

The meeting brought together two senior figures in the party and focused on key matters aimed at strengthening the party and preparing for important activities in the lakeside region.

During the discussions, the two leaders exchanged views on the current state of the party and the steps needed to ensure its steady growth. 

They emphasized the importance of unity, strong grassroots structures, and active engagement with members across the country. 

Dr Oburu noted that the party must remain focused on its founding values while adapting to the changing political environment.

The meeting also reviewed preparations for the upcoming leaders’ meeting, which is expected to bring together party officials from different regions. 

According to those present, the leaders’ meeting will provide an opportunity to reflect on progress made so far, address challenges facing the party, and agree on strategies for the future. 

Both leaders stressed the need for open dialogue and collective decision-making.

In addition, the two leaders used the occasion to discuss the Linda Ground engagements scheduled to take place in Kisumu tomorrow. 

The event is expected to attract party supporters and residents from across the lakeside region. 

They said the engagement will allow the party leadership to listen to the views of the people, share the party’s agenda, and strengthen its connection with the grassroots.
