Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama has strongly condemned the violent incident that took place at Witima ACK Church in Othaya, describing it as shameful and unacceptable in modern Kenya.

Speaking in reaction to the attack, Arama said it was unfortunate that such acts could still happen in this century, especially in a place meant for peace and worship.

The MP said attacking a church crosses a very dangerous line. He noted that churches are sacred spaces where families, children, and elders gather to pray and seek comfort.

Turning such a place into a scene of chaos, he said, shows a complete lack of respect for human life and for the values that hold society together.

Arama stressed that political disagreements should never be handled through violence or intimidation.

According to him, leaders may differ in opinions, but there are proper and lawful ways to express those differences.

Using goons, threats, or force only creates fear and deepens divisions among citizens.

He expressed concern that the Othaya incident reflects a worrying trend where individuals close to power feel free to act without fear of consequences.

Arama warned that if such behavior is allowed to continue, it will slowly destroy the rule of law and undermine public trust in leadership and security institutions.

The Nakuru Town West MP called on security agencies to move with speed and professionalism to investigate the attack.

He said those involved, whether civilians or security officers, must be identified and held accountable.

No one, he insisted, should be protected because of political connections.
