Honourable Jeremiah Kioni has expressed deep gratitude to the late Raila Odinga, saying the former Prime Minister played a key role during difficult times in Kenya’s political history.

Kioni said many people are praising Raila, but he wonders whether they truly understood the kind of person he was.

Speaking about the late leader, Kioni recalled a moment when the country was facing a lot of confusion and uncertainty.

During that period, Raila came to the Jubilee Party offices and sat with Kioni. He described the visit as a powerful gesture of unity and leadership.

“At the height of the confusion we had, Raila came to the Jubilee office and sat with me,” Kioni said.

He added that the gesture showed Raila’s willingness to reach out, even when the political environment was tense.

Kioni said he has no doubt that Raila’s wisdom and experience would have continued to guide the country through tough times.

He compared the challenges ahead to a storm, saying that Raila would have been able to lead the nation through the rain.

“I have no doubt that he will be able to guide us through the rain that is ahead of us,” Kioni said, expressing confidence in Raila’s ability to bring people together and provide direction.

Kioni’s remarks have drawn attention because they come from a leader who has often been on the opposite side of Raila politically.

The statement shows respect and recognition of Raila’s role in Kenya’s history, beyond party lines.

He also challenged those who speak highly of Raila to remember the real person behind the public image.

Kioni said Raila was more than just a political figure; he was a leader who knew how to bring people together during difficult moments.
