He emphasized that the UDA leadership stands firmly behind them and will not be swayed by what he termed as unfounded political attacks.
“We remain confident in the stewardship of CSs Opiyo Wandayi and Lee Kinyanjui and equally ask them to remain steadfast in the face of misleading and defamatory and sensational assertions by the opposition,” Omar said.
His remarks come amid increasing scrutiny from opposition leaders, who have recently raised concerns over the performance and decisions of various government officials.
However, Omar dismissed these criticisms, arguing that they are politically motivated and intended to undermine the government’s development agenda.
He noted that the two Cabinet Secretaries have continued to discharge their duties diligently and should not be distracted by what he described as noise from political opponents.
According to Omar, leadership requires resilience, especially in a highly charged political environment where criticism is often amplified for effect rather than grounded in fact.
Omar further stated that the government remains committed to delivering on its promises to Kenyans and that internal focus and unity are key to achieving its objectives.
He urged public officials to concentrate on service delivery and avoid being drawn into political exchanges that do not contribute to national progress.
The UDA Secretary General also called on the opposition to exercise responsibility in its oversight role, cautioning against the spread of misinformation.
He stressed the importance of constructive criticism, noting that accountability should be pursued in a manner that strengthens democratic institutions rather than eroding public trust.
