KANU Branch Chairmen Push for Urgent Meeting With Party Leader Gideon Moi

KANU branch chairmen from across the country are demanding an urgent meeting with party leader Gideon Moi, saying the party has gone for two years without a proper gathering to discuss its direction.

According to the leaders, the long silence has slowed down operations and left members unsure about the party’s future.

The officials say that regular meetings are essential for any political party, especially one with KANU’s history.

They argue that without consultation, communication, and clear guidance, branches at the grassroots level struggle to function.

Many claim they have been operating blindly, relying on old instructions and lacking updates on party decisions, strategies, and plans.

Some chairmen explained that they have been receiving numerous questions from ordinary members who want to understand the party’s position on national politics.

They say they cannot give answers because they have not been briefed by the national leadership.

This, they warn, is causing frustration and weakening the morale of supporters who still believe in the party.

The leaders insist that the emergency meeting should help revive teamwork, rebuild trust, and restore the party’s visibility.

They want Gideon Moi to engage them directly, listen to their concerns, and outline a clear path forward.

In their view, communication between the top leadership and the grassroots has been too slow, leaving room for confusion and speculation.

They also warn that prolonged inactivity could push some members away or reduce the party’s influence, especially ahead of major political events in the country.

Many believe that this is the time for KANU to reorganize itself, strengthen its structures, and remind the public of its identity and values.
